Kundalini Invocation

Shree Kundalini Invocation

“When you succeed in awakening the Kundalini, so that it starts to move out of its mere potentiality, you necessarily start a world which is totally different from our world. It is the world of eternity.” -Carl Jung

O Kundalini Devi,
though known by a thousand names
no one can merely summon you.
Yet, the scent of Love from sweet ripe souls
instantly draws you near!

Dancing as bliss,
casting off sparks of the infinite delight,
you set souls ablaze!
Ignite us like a torch
my Beloved!
Throw the sodden logs of mind and body
onto your conflagration of Love!
Release the light and life
hidden within us!

O my Beloved,
whether clothed in form
or moving through the universe unseen,
graceful holy spirit,
protector of lovers of Divine,
You are inseparable
from the eternal One.

Embracing all seekers wandering the worlds
You usher them home
to delight in true freedom.
May we be worthy of your
boundless love and protection.

O my beloved Kundalini,
awaken seekers to sublime play
of hide and seek!
There's nothing You can't create!
You take forms that delude or enlighten,
lead us astray or draw us into your arms.
Delivering the fruits of our choices,
refining our discrimination,
You reveal the power you've given us
to create every reality.
Grant that we remain ever vigilant
of the power we wield
and guide us to use it only
in the service of Love and compassion.

Plucking a strand of light from you countenance,
even as it forever vibrates with OM,
You string luminous jewels of consiousness
upon this thread
and spin a multi-colored shimmering web
of mind and body around it.
There You are,
throbbing with us,
piercing the veils,
inviting us to follow your Love call!
May we remain true to even the sublest
sounds of your voice.

You've taken the form of bindu,
exalted portal shrouded in mystery,
confounding all but those empty of self.
Carry us through your gateway to the Infinite,
known only through union with You.

In your earthly domain
You embrace your Beloved.
Taking the ancient,
yet ever-new serpentine form,
You coil round Him in pure delight!

In your transcendent abode
You both disappear!
No one can say
where Lover and Beloved have gone!

You are the path of Love,
You reveal the power of devotion
and take form of its fruits,
nourishing your seeking self.
Give us wisdom
to take refuge in You alone.

Your inexhaustible Light illumines our path,
freeing us from all pain born of your ignorance.
You become sounds and mantras,
words and scriptures,
gods and goddesses
out of your boundless compassion
and unfathomable yearning to set us free.
What won't you become
to meet your seekers' needs?
What won't you give of yourself
to ease our way to freedom?
You generosity humbles us.
Please open your hearts to all!

O my Beloved,
There's nothing you won't reveal
to the wise soul humbled by knowing
their afflictions.
Mother of the universe,
by Your grace I now see
all forms are Your form.
Regardless of how You appear in the moment,
enemy or friend,
wise or foolish,
let me worship You
with offerings of Loving kindess,
Joy and delight.

O beloved Kundalini,
adored form of Ma Kali,
You illumine her darkest mysteries!
Dwelling in the hearts of all my dearest,
I bow to You.

O graceful Lady of Light,
release me from the bonds of suffering,
extinguish all cravings
save the one for You
I beg You my Beloved,
Let me serve You
until all are free.

Awakened Kundalini empowers us to see fully, to delight in all of it is as our own self and regain the direct experience of our ever-present, never broken, all encompassing wholeness. Maps such as ones of the chakras, nadis, and the subtle body help guide us on the the journey to fully expanded consciousness.

Whether we call Her Shakti Kundalini, the Great Goddess, Kali, Bhagavati Prajnaparamita, Tara, Holy Mother, or some other name, She bestows the awareness that our body is the body of the Universe. Our body is her body. Our awareness encompasses everything from the core of an atom to the grand expanse of the dance of galaxies moving through billions of light-years of space--all of that is within the infinite expanse of consciousness. The consciousness is our being. For this reason the full realization of Kundalini is beyond the mind; it's beyond anything that the mind can fantasize. The mind is of the nature of limited knowing, and so it has to surrender to the fact that direct knowing of that which is unlimited is and experience that lies beyond it. It waits at the gates. It can be informed by it. Our mind can be infused with boundless Love, wisdom, compassion, and awareness that is a precinct of knowing, a domain of knowing, that is beyond the mind. However, it is not beyond knowing, because it's the direct experience of the Infinite that Kundalini bestows. That is why she is known as the power of revelation.

The Wise Know

The Wise Know

The Wise know these three to be separate: wants, needs and Love.

By reducing their wants and needs, Love fills the spaciousness of their being.

They want only the end of suffering and fullness of Joy for all beings.

They need only that which enables them to fulfill their dharama.

They Love with abandon all of creation!

That is what it is to be wise.

That is what it is to be fully human.

Animals, even insects fight over territory, possessions and mates, kill each other for food and are constantly wary of attack, what makes you any different?

Distinguish yourself from these suffering life-forms.

You have a precious human birth, what are you doing with it?

Any creature can be angry, hurtful, fearful and greedy.

You can be compassionate, Loving, kind patient and free.

The world cries out for your humanity, wisdom and grace.

You are Tara.

You are Kwan Yin.

You are Mary.

You are Jesus.

You are Krishna.

You are Buddha.

You are Kali.

Tat Twam Asi!
(That You Are)

Drop your masks, drop your delusions!

Now!

Our Sexual and Woven Connection

Yesterday as I sat among the rock formations and tress of the Gila I felt a change come upon me. I could feel the soul of that place as a delicate feather touch upon all my senses and, in that moment, a light began to emanate from every stone, every plant and every tree, even the soil itself. I dropped then into a silence as deep and still as any I have known. And as I listened I began to hear, as Aldo Leopold said I would, the music that lies deep within these hills.

It seemed as if I had come home to a place I had always known, the place in which my true family resides. I felt companioned, and Loved, and as I began to look deeper, I could sense, even see, the living connections between everything around me; there were golden threads moving through the world, weaving all the apparently separate organisms and objects together. I reached out and touched the nearest and a certain feeling came over me. And I suddenly realized I could follow that feeling through my enhanced sensing, home to where it originated, deep in the foundations of the world.

I shot this with a Cannon 30D
I let myself go. And as I moved deeper, following the thread home, I began to discover unexpected truths about each and every thing that that particular thread passed through. I saw the flower menstruate and the pine pollen is filled with testosterone and that our sexuality is only a specific instance of a general condition. And as I continued on, I began to understand that the innovation we call sex is woven deeply into every aspect of what we call Earth.

Then as I grew tired, my gaze began to relax. I realized irrevocably, there is no part of this world, including myself, that is not connected to every other part; the surface that we have taken to be the world is but the beginning.

Luba Shumeyko
...If you are uncomfortable seeing penis and labia unconcealed in the stark of day, if you hide this part of you among cultural and physoloical confusions, refuse to see the presence of sex every place and in every thing of the Earth, you can never understand Earth, never truly act for Earth. For those confusions will enter every act you subsequently take and spread the human confusion ever more widely. This how unforeseen consequences spread from good intent.

And sex is fundamental to system functioning. Unsurprisingly, frequent sex stimulates the formation of new neurons in neural networks, irrespective of the type of age of the organism. Sensory gating channels open more widely, cognition improves, functionality increases, homeodynamics improves. Chastity is ecological nonfunctional.

Semen is Latin for a dormant, fertilized, plant ovum--a seed. Men's ejaculate is chemically more akin to plant pollen. See, it is really more accurate to call it mammal pollen.

To call it semen is to thrust an insanity deep inside our culture: that men plow women and plant their seed when, in fact, what they are doing is pollinating flowers.

From spores to wind pollination to pollinator pollination to animal sex, Gaia has innovated throughout her long life. To understand her means to understand sex is ever present in the world. So much as we hide from our sexuality, so, too do we blind ourselves to the true nature of Earth.

The Buzzing of a Bee Priestess

The Buzzing of a Bee Priestess

I started writing a children's story last year about a little Bee named Lee. I am very concerned for humans, animals and Mother Earth if the number of bees keep disappearing. I can only hope for change, the story is about hope. I put down the project and now a year later decided to pick it up again and taking a completely different direction with it. I am super excited about the new adventures that I will create and experience myself in the creation. It is fun for me to sit and remind myself how a child sees the world. Also, learning from the experience not to take life too seriously.

We can learn so much from the Bees on a personal level and community. There is so much magic in the Bees. Did you know that Bees communicate through Dance? It is called the "waggle dance." I started belly dancing over six months ago, I feel connected to the Bees in the language of dance.  The Bees are rich in Symbolism and mythology. I thought to myself is this the buzzing of a Bee Priestess? Did my calling come before and I did not recognize it until I had ripened myself? Did I have to ripen and bloom for the Bees to come share their magic with me?

In Egyptian myth, honeybees came from the tears of Ra. Ra was the Egyptian Sun God I wrote about Ra in the previous blog called One.

The Bee Goddess Calls, by Judith Shaw

This article was posted more than a year ago since then new information regarding the Bees has come out. http://www.cbsnews.com/news/40-percent-of-u-s-bee-colonies-died-in-past-year/
Spring arrived in the Northern Hemisphere and all of Goddess’s children are waking up from our winter slumbers.  Birds are singing, fruit trees are blossoming, bees are buzzing, and early spring bulb flowers are in full bloom.  Signs of spring fever are evident as we find ourselves full of energy and vitality for new projects and relationships.
As new life emerges from the Earth we can more easily reflect on our place in the greater scheme of life.  It’s a good time to question the values of our consumer society and ask if there is another way.
In contrast to these values of domination, separation, and consumption, ancient wisdom traditions teach that we are all connected – to each other, to all life, to the whole natural world and to the spiritual cosmos.

One canary in the coalmine that points out the lack of balance we have created with our industrial, military, consumer society is the disappearance and collapse of bee colonies all around the world.  This is something that we ignore at our own peril. Without bees we could lose 30% of our food crops.
The relationship between humans and bees dates back to prehistoric days.  Cave paintings found in Spain, from between 6000 and 80000 BC, depict our Neolithic ancestors gathering honey from wild bee colonies.

The earliest record of humans keeping bees in human made hives dates back to Egypt of 2400 BC.
The ancients believed that the bees’ ability to make honey was a gift from the divine.  Bees who give us their sweet honey, used for food, drink and medicine have long been associated with Goddesses all around the world.

In ancient Egypt the main temple of the Goddess Neith was known as the “House of the Bee.” She was often depicted as a veiled Goddess which perhaps was an allusion to bees, often called hymenopterameaning “veil winged”. In truth the bees’ wings are beautiful lace-like fluttering veils.
The Greeks, who only knew how to collect wild honey, inherited bee keeping from the Minoans, who worked with and honored bees since the beginning of the Neolithic era. The Great Mother Goddess was often called “Melissa”, meaning “the Queen Bee" or Priestess. In the myth and imagery of both cultures, associations of the Mother Goddess with the little honeybee are abundant.

India’s ancient sacred text, the Rig-Veda, contains numerous references to bees and honey. The Indian Bee Goddess, Bhramari Devi, whose name comes from the Hindi word bramari, meaning ‘bees’, is said to make Her home within the heart chakra. Here She emits the buzzing sound of Bees. All across ancient India the humming of bees represented the essential sound of the universe.

Bees are also sacred to the Celtic Goddess Brigid. The ancient Celts believed that Brigid’s bees brought their magical nectar to earth from her apple orchard in the Otherworld.   Her power, manifesting through bees, endures through time. A Christianized version of Brigid, Gobnait, protected Her people with the help of bees. She thwarted a band of robbers attempting to steal the people’s cattle, by loosening a swarm of bees on the rustlers, sending them fleeing in terror.

Through working with bees I have learned personally what amazing community organizers they are. The ancients saw bees as beings that create order. Each bee diligently works their part of the community with cooperation and organization, ensuring the welfare of all. Perhaps the early Neolithic people, in whose hearts the Goddess reigned, were inspired by the honeybee to create their own communities on cooperation and harmony. While at the same time bees made the early agricultural societies possible through their work as pollinators of many of our favorite foods. Like the honeybee, the modern day Way of the Goddess is one that honors a balanced approach to living in nature; an approach that honors cooperation, harmony and work well done.
Now that spring has arrived, I rejoice in the return of the honeybees to my garden and in the magic of new life as it emerges from the dark, fertile Earth. The Bee Goddess calls us all to remember that through loving cooperation, focus and hard work, we can produce life’s sweet nectar.

One

ONE

This is an ancient solar symbol featuring a circle with its center marked with a dot. It is the astronomical and astrological symbol for the Sun, and the ancient Egyptian sign for "sun" or "Ra" in the hieroglyphicwriting system. The character for "sun" or "day" in early Chinese script was similar. It is also the symbol for Gold, Au.

One main goal of the alchemists was to produce gold from other substances, such as lead — presumably by the interaction with a mythical substance called the philosopher's stone, also called the Emerald Tablet. The alchemists promoted an interest in what can be done with substances, and this laid a foundation for today's chemistry. Their symbol for gold was the circle with a point at its center (☉), which was also the astrological symbol and the ancient Chinese character for the Sun.

You are already at One with the One, but it is very easy forget...

Alchemy is the process by which each of us moves from our primal state of unconsciousness, through the various alchemical stages represented by our most elemental experiences, to the realization of full awakening, or enlightenment. It is the interactive dance through which we are constantly weaving spirit and matter into the multidimensional tapestry of life. Alchemy is a process that spirals from cycle to cycle, ever upward and forward, repeating itself as required to transform and change us through the experiences of our body, soul, psyche, and spirit. In alchemical terminology it is called the Opus, or Great Work. The higher state of consciousness and self-understanding that results includes recognition of our connection to the spirit world and awareness of the interconnectedness of all beings.
The goal of the Great Work is called, among other things, the philosophers’ stone, the universal medicine, alchemical gold, and the elixir of life. It is the interpenetration of spirit and matter—the spiritualization of our material selves, and the materialization of our spiritual essence.

"As Hermes never tires of telling us, over and over, over and over; the One thing and the One mind are One. He means that mind and body, Soul and Spirit, male and female, positive and negative, Above and Below, are all One. All sexes, all races, all species, all life is One. All life, all death; all heroes, all villains; all angels, all demons; all gods, all devils are One. Unless you find the One Presence within you, you cannot escape the illusory theater of duality, even for an instant.

The message of the Ouroboros, "All is One," is basis of the alchemical principle of changing one thing into another. Alchemical transformation would not be possible unless everything were really One.

Rosicrucian alchemists sometimes referred to the Stone as the "Telesma," which meant a self perfecting psychical presence similar to our modern idea of the genetics behind nature or evolution. By working with the Telesma, the alchemists hope to speed up the process of our species' evolution, to truly participate in the work of nature, to affect it to transform it, making of it not an evolutionary phenomenon but a revolutionary happening within one's own lifetime. The Stone is an emerging pattern that resulted from the tireless work of the alchemists in past millennia. It is our true legacy, a gift to each of us from each of them. Balinas even included it in his will. We can make of it a true presence within us or we can throw it away. The choice is ours..."

The Loving Mother Within

The Loving Mother Within

Some how in my darkest and most painful moments, there is this small voice, a loving voice, a motherly voice within. "Joy, you are Love, you are stronger than you think you are. You can get through this, look at how far you have come." Somehow in my darkest moments there is always something there Lovingly, Motherly, I feel her wrapped around me, I feel her Love. Something mystical in nature perhaps. I see signs and gifts in nature as well. Perhaps my own estrangement to my Mother drives me ever closer to this connection. Love is the way...

This is not my usual type of read, but it resonates with me.

The Unruined Heart

The swords through your heart
are not the ones which caused your wounds,
but rather, these mighty swords of Strength,
were earned by your struggles through hard times.

Sword of Surrender: to withstand this time of learning.

Sword of Veils: to pierce the hidden meanings of this time.

Sword of Healing: to lance one's own agony, bitterness.

Sword of New Life: to cut through, cut loose, plant anew.

Sword of Courage: to speak up, row on, touch others.

Sword of Life Force: to draw from, lean on, purify.

Sword of Love: often heaviest to lift consistently;
turns one away from war, to instead,
fall into the arms of the Immaculate Strength.

O Immaculate Heart of My Mother,
give me shelter in the beautiful chambers of your heart.
Keep me strong, fierce, loving, and able in this world.
Remind me daily, that despite my imperfections,
my heart remains,
completely unruined.

Empress Tarot

"Lady-Mother!" call the wandering souls. "We bring you gifts!" They fly near the Empress, dancing in the sky. They paint synchronized kaleidoscope choreographies for her pleasure, and she smiles as she takes it in. Her mind and her thoughts are the conductor to this visual symphony.
Gently, they lay a crown woven of the first buds of spring across her brow. "Jasmine and Lily of Valley have graciously donated their first buds for your coronet," the spirits sigh.
"The Apple Tree Man has gifted you with his fruit, and the Lady of the Fields her grains." These they lay in her basket.
With a sudden flourish, the spirits whirl together, then spin off in an explosion of light and music. "Farewell, dear Lady!" they call.

Meaning: Divine Feminine, internal Mother, Creativity, nurturing, abundance, fertility, experiencing the senses, and embracing the natural.

When are own mothers can not give us what we need we have to turn to the mother within, your internal mother. We have to understand ourselves and heal by touching ourselves with compassion, Love and forgiveness. This next portion is about the Mother Archetype within. Taken from Caroline Myss's book Sacred Contracts. "In Jungian psychologyarchetypes are highly developed elements of the collective unconscious. Being unconscious, the existence of archetypes can only be deduced indirectly by examining behavior, images, art, myths, religions, or dreams. Carl Jung understood archetypes as universal, archaic patterns and images that derive from the collective unconscious and are the psychic counterpart of instinct. They are inherited potentials which are actualized when they enter consciousness as images or manifest in behavior on interaction with the outside world. They are autonomous and hidden forms which are transformed once they enter consciousness and are given particular expression by individuals and their cultures." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jungian_archetypes

Mother (Matriarch, Mother Nature, Parent)
The Mother is the life-giver, the source of nurturing and nourishment, unconditional fountain of Love, patience, devotion, caring, and unselfish acts. This archetype is the keeper and protector of life, from children to the family to (in the greater Mother Nature archetype)the earth and all Life. Mother Nature, also known as Gaia, is the Goddess of Life, the caretaker of the living environment of this planet. She is recognized as powerful, and when storms leave death and destruction in their wake, she may be referred to as wrathful. The power of compassion and the endless capacity to forgive her children and put them before herself are essential to Good Mother. The Devouring, Abusive, Abandoning, and Working Mother each represent different aspects of this primal archetype within the entire human community.

Although Mothers have always worked, the contemporary archetye of the Career or Working Mother reflects the crises experienced by many woman who seek also to be devoted mothers. Measured against the impossible mythic ideal of the Perfect Mother, the Career Mom is sometimes assumed unfairly to be a mother who puts her own needs before those of the children. This is an archetypal crisis for many women.

The Devouring Mother "consumes" her children psychologically and emotionally and often instills in them feelings of guilt at leave her or becoming independent. The Abusive and Abandoning Mother violate natural law by harming their own young.

Connections to the Mother archetype are not to be measured only by whether a woman is a biological mother. If you are intimately connected to nurturing and protecting the environment, including gardening or farming or supporting any life form, you should strongly consider whether your bond to Mother Nature is part of a lifelong devotions that defines you. (This part resonates with me, I am not a biological mother, but I feel I am a Mother to Animals, Plants and Humans)You may also recognize a strong bond to the Mother archetype in the form of one or all of her shadows. While it is difficult to admit, some women may have to face the fact their children see them through the shadow aspects of the Mother, including the Abusive and Abandoning Mother.

Just as women can have a real connection to the Father archetype when they take on the paternal role in the household, so some men may relate to being "Mr. Mom," yet another contemporary sculpting of the Mother archetype. The qualities that are associated with the archetype can be expressed in other than biological ways, such as giving birth to books or by nurturing others.
